The choir rehearses at the
St Chad's Church Hall, Handforth
We usually rehearse from 7.30 p.m. to about 9.30 p.m. The choir season normally runs from the first Monday in September to the last Monday in June, excluding Bank Holidays and with a short break at Christmas.
The Annual Subscription is currently £75. For performances, ladies wear a long black skirt, a plain white long-sleeved blouse with a collar, and a green gilet. Men wear a black dinner suit, a formal white shirt and a green bow tie. Prospective members may be asked to audition before their membership is confirmed, but this is at the discretion of the Musical Director and may not be necessary for experienced singers. It may be necessary to establish the voice section to which an applicant is best suited. Prospective members then sing with us for up to four weeks before membership is confirmed. The Musical Director may ask a member not to take part in a public performance if he considers that an individual has not attended an appropriate number of rehearsals.
